Hi,
This is about a thought i had while i was taking a walk near my flat.
I have been staying in the same area for about 4 years now. Almost all the shopkeepers know me by now, and while i pass in front of there shop some give a casual smile while some a wave... I too do the needful to maintain this relationship.
One fine evening i decided to take a walk. The weather was wonderful calm a little cold but it had that feel in the air that would compel any soul to take a walk. My exams had just got over and i felt relaxed...happy.
I didn't have a destination in my mind while i started off just thought i will go where my legs take me. I stopped at a bakery to have some coffee. It is when i was having the coffee that i saw it.
There was a cyber cafe right opposite to this bakery, I used to often visit there before i got my Internet connection. It was run by this young guy hardly older than me. This young chap couldn't talk i think it was a birth defect, but he run the place so smoothly that all his customers were pleased with him.
Well on this particular day while i was having a cup of coffee i noticed that he was talking with a group of his friends. He wasn't talking in any sign language but just trying to talk like all normal people did..only difference was that when he talked only sounds came out and not words.. But i was amazed by the fact that his friend understood what ever he said and replied. It got me thinking what does it require to communicate was it just sound?
With these thoughts in my mind i continued my walk. I walked for couple of minutes and I got a miss call. I checked the no. it was from an old schoolmate in Oman.
This was her way of saying "i just thought of you" or just "Hi i miss you".. I smiled to myself and gave a miss call back.
If you think about it you can see that we spoke a lot of words without even saying anything... just a miss call.. Thus was the thought i had on unspoken words...
